Hello, it’s Barb Earle neurotransformational coach and health and well-being expert on a mission to help you get to know your brain better and why it matters.
I do a lot of power walking.
To keep up my heart rate I try to minimize talking to others.
Yet, I still seek connection.
I’ve observed that non-verbal communication can be stronger than verbal communication.
A smile, head nod or eye contact generates positive connection and goes a long way.
On the other hand, I also notice negative energy.
I make it a point to always question if it’s coming from me or the other person.
I also wonder how we as a society can create positive interactions and make this chaotic world, well a little, less chaotic.
I found one way.
According to the Heart Math Institute, there’s a scientific, heart-centred, effective approach. Research from this institute shows that our heart produces a powerful electromagnetic field. The electrical component is 60 times greater and the electromagnetic field is 5000s stronger than our brain’s field.
Further studies show we have the ability to positively or negatively influence each other’s field. One doesn’t need to know about this research to fully grasp the feeling we have when the person in front of us holds negative or positive energy. During this age of physical distancing, it’s good to know we have the ability to help each other by mindfully coming from a caring, loving and kind heart.
How?
The first thing is to check in with your heartbeat. Your heart is quicker to react to situations than your brain.
And, possesses the ability to send a ‘Be Calm and Carry On message to the brain.
According to the Heart Math Institute, this technique combined with mindful breath and positive thoughts changes your hearts’ electromagnetic field.
And, can be noticed by others.
Even six feet apart I pick up on people’s energy when I’m out walking.
It’s one way I feel connected with others during this pandemic way of life.
The second thing is to experiment.
A sort of crazy professor type of experiment. Should someone in your household or workplace have a negative energy, adjust your heart and emotions to a positive, kind one.
No need to say anything elaborate, no need to react to their energy and if possible no need to stick around if it doesn’t work.
Stay with your positive energy and see what happens.
Even if you’re sceptical about this whole electromagnetic field research, challenge yourself.
Diffuse negative energy with loving-kindness.
First in yourself, then towards others.
It is Love and Heart-Health month.
Spread the love and let the neuroscience of your heart and brain do the rest.
This is a Brilliant Brain•Bold Body Break
Until we meet in Person.
Brain to Brain.
Heart to Heart.
Ciao!
