Our Brain Unplugged
Every 24 hours we take time to sleep. We rest and renew our body and brain. But what happens during the day?
Do you ever get the feeling like your brain doesn’t stop? Like things are a little our control?
In order for our brain to work at its peak efficiency, it needs to rest during the day. And that looks different than resting our body.
The brain needs to unplug. When we overload our brain we undergo a myriad of emotions. We may feel chaotic, angry, see things as black and white, hopeless, fearful or frustrated.
Any of these sound familiar?
This is certainly not conducive to productivity or creativity.
Or even feeling happy.
The brain is an incredible organ. Capable of many tasks and capable of simply being. That means not focusing on anything specific, a mind-wandering so to speak. Our brain needs to unplug, recharge and reset.
It can not be in task mode 100% of the time. Too tiring and energy draining.
Your brain and you experience a much greater level of effectiveness with deliberate breaks.
Some suggestions on unplugging your brain include:
A walk in nature
Take a Nap
Switch to another easier task
Meditate
Close your eyes for a minute-vacation
Listen to Music
Look out the window
Take a stretch break
Consider getting create and explore what works for you.
Do it daily.
Unplug Your Brain.
Increase Your Effectiveness.
Enjoy your renewed energy!
Until we meet in Person.
Brain to Brain.
Heart to Heart.
Ciao!
